Hello, my name is Arnet
... sometimes known as Cornish Dodo
I’m a self‑taught photographer whose work centres on people — their presence, their stories, and the quiet courage of being seen. I’m drawn to the power of community, the ways people come together to create spaces of support and friendship, and the ongoing search for identity and belonging.
Much of my practice is rooted in my own journey as a Queer man who found the freedom to live openly as a gay man later in life. Photography has become a way for me to explore that journey — to move through the layers of fear, shame, and guilt shaped by growing up in a time when being gay was often treated as something unacceptable.
Through my work, I try to create spaces that feel sensitive, respectful, and affirming. Whether I’m photographing Queer intimacy, community gatherings, or the simple honesty of a portrait, I aim to make images that honour people as they are and invite them to see themselves with dignity and care.
